Drought Tolerant Grass -

TifTuf Bermuda is a drought-resistant, warm-season hybrid grass known for its durability, fine texture, and ability to recover quickly from heavy use and damage, making it ideal for residential lawns and sports fields. Developed by the University of Georgia and the USDA, it uses less water than other Bermuda grass varieties, stays green longer, and has a naturally dense, upright growth that helps inhibit weed growth. TifTuf is available as sod and requires consistent mowing and fertilization for best results.

Warm-Season Grass:
- As a warm-season grass, TifTuf greens up in the spring and goes dormant after a frost, but can still be walked on in its dormant state.

Mowing:
- Mow TifTuf to a height of 3/8 to 3/4 inches at least once a week during the warm season.

Fertilizing:
- Fertilize twice a year (spring and fall), or as needed to maintain a light green color, but avoid excessive nitrogen during the summer.

Watering:
- Keep the topsoil moist for the first 20 days after installation. After that, water three or more times a week in warm weather and once or twice in cooler weather.

Dethatching:
- Perform dethatching once every two years to minimize thatch buildup, with spring being the preferred time
